Captain’s Seal – Anti-Rust & Corrosion Sealant is a New Zealand lanolin-based formula that protects metal from rust, corrosion, and moisture. Perfect for boats, trailers, and fishing gear, it forms a water-resistant barrier, keeping metal lubricated and rust-free.

1. Start with a clean surface
Make sure the area you're treating is clean and dry. Remove any dirt, salt, or grease before spraying for best results.

2. Shake it up
Give the bottle a good shake to mix the natural lanolin formula properly.

3. Spray a light, even coat
Hold the bottle 10–20cm away and apply a thin, even layer to the metal surface. You don’t need to drench it enough to cover the area and create a barrier.

4. Let it settle
The formula will leave a slightly tacky, water-resistant film. That’s normal—the protective layer blocks rust and moisture.

5. Reapply as needed
For gear exposed to the elements regularly (like marine or 4WD equipment), reapply every few weeks or after washing.

Q: Will it wash off in the rain or at the beach?
A: Nope. Captain’s Seal is water-resistant and built to stay put, even in wet, salty, or humid environments. That slightly tacky finish helps it stick to surfaces and keep moisture out.

Q: Is it safe to use on paint, rubber, or plastic?
A: Yes! It’s non-toxic and safe on all common surfaces—painted areas, plastic trims, rubber seals, wiring, and more.

Q: Does it stop rust that’s already started?
A: It won’t reverse rust, but it will slow it down and help prevent it from getting worse. For best results, remove any loose rust or corrosion before applying.

Q: How often should I use it?
A: Depends on how exposed your gear is. For boats, trailers, and 4WD underbodies, we recommend spraying every 3–4 weeks or after heavy use. For tools or fishing gear, every couple of months is usually fine.

Q: Can I use it on electrical connections or battery terminals?
A: Absolutely. It’s a great way to protect terminals from corrosion. Just use a light spray—don’t flood it—and make sure the area is dry first.
